Federal Jury In Chattanooga Awards $22.26 Million In Malpractice Case
A federal jury in Chattanooga has awarded a couple from Franklin, Tn., $22,266,261.31 in a medical malpractice case. The verdict was in favor of Ben and Bette Donathan.
Mrs. Donathan, 62, was left paralyzed from the waist down after problems developed during surgery for a broken leg.
The jury awarded $19,266,261.31 in favor of Mrs. Donathan against Delores K. White, D.O., Ronald Gordon, M.D., Christopher A. Will, C.R.N.A. and Cumberland Healthcare Group.
It awarded Mr. Donathan $3 million against the same defendants.
