Alabama Jury Awards $2.6M to Patient Ignored by Home Health Service

A jury has awarded $2.65 million to a man who was stranded in his bed for four days by home health care workers.

Fifty-five-year-old Nathan Ballard sued Gentiva Health Services USA and two former employees after they failed to show up at his home between March 18 and March 22, 2005.

He has Cerebral Palsy and requires personal care to maintain his independence.
